The Cafe owners: Julia Nuechter & Uwe Krohmann Old Russel Road Hikurangi Ph: 09-433-9934 Email: thecafe@xnet.co.nz hours: 7 days- 10am to 5pm (phone for winter hours) Driving north from Whangarei take the side road to the ocean at Whakapara. it is an easy road to drive even though it winds through the surrounding farms and hills. It is 14kms from Route One to the Gallery/Cafe. Well worth the trip as the owners of both the gallery and the cafe have produced one of the finest places in the country. From now on we will always take the time to go there. Great home made food and great barista work with Atomic roast. The gallery has some of the most stunning work we have ever seen and we visit hundreds. Needless to say we were more than impressed with the whole lay out and I defy you to find a more scenic cafe outlook! |
