Waikava Harbour
View is a self-contained lodge in Waikawa (South Catlins) with
panoramic waterfront views. Nestled close to native bush the location
is pivate and secluded. The lodge is only 300 metres from the
Waikawa Museum and Information Centre.....and only 6kms from Curio Bay.
Just five minutes drive
north from Waikava Harbour View is the Niagara
Falls Café that features an extensive all-day menu, inside and
outside dining, great coffee and a gallery featuring local paintings
and
crafts.
I can recommend this cafe as the best in the Catlins.
The Catlins is a natural wonderland of geological
significance not to be missed. One very special area is Curio Bay with
a 160 million year old fossilised forest one can walk around during low
tide.
Waikava
Harbour View is a spacious accommodation offering four bedrooms - queen
with ensuite, queen with
sofa-bed, 2 twin (single-bed) bedrooms, double sofa-bed in lounge. It
is equipped with modern new furnishings and is carpet throughout with
central heating for total comfort for total warmth and comfort.
From NZ$150 per night (based on twin
share) plus $15 per extra person per night.
